Straight about the extras
What Is Not Included
Three things sit outside the rate. We would rather you knew about them here than found out at handover.
Fuel
You return the cart with the fuel level it had at handover. There are stations in town and a tank goes a long way here.
Tax
Rental prices are subject to 12.5 percent tax, added when you pay rather than hidden in the headline rate.
Damage
Damage caused during the rental is chargeable. The handover walkthrough exists so both sides agree on the condition first.
How Long Should You Book the Cart For?
The most common mistake visitors make here is booking a cart for two days of a seven day trip, then spending the rest of the week paying for taxis and waiting for them. San Pedro is not a walkable town once you are north of the bridge.
If you are staying anywhere outside the town centre, take the cart for the whole stay. The 3 day and weekly figures are priced to make that the sensible choice, and the difference between a three day rental and a week is usually less than four days of taxi fares.
If you are in the middle of town and only heading north once, a single day may genuinely be enough. We will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you a week you do not need.

Payment and Cancellation Terms
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Reservations can be settled through the payment page once we have confirmed the cart and the dates with you.
No refund is given for no shows or for unused rental time. If your plans change before the rental starts, tell us and we will move the dates where we can rather than hold you to them.

US dollars. Belize dollars are accepted at the usual two to one rate, and both currencies circulate freely on the island.
Rental prices are subject to 12.5 percent tax, which is added at payment. The figure you are quoted when we confirm your booking is the full amount.

Yes. The current island deal runs at $175 a week, and monthly arrangements are quoted on request depending on the cart and the season.
Yes. At least The full rental cost is payable on the day of booking, and an open credit card imprint is taken on your arrival date. The exact figure is in the confirmation we send you.
