How to Drive a Golf Cart in San Pedro
Do I need a Driver's License to Rent a Golf Cart in San Pedro?
- A valid Driver’s License is required to rent one of our golf carts.
- You must have your Driver’s License on you whenever you’re operating the cart.
How do I Operate a Golf Cart?
- The ignition must be turned on by twisting the key to the right.
- You have to shift the clutch to the right for reverse, or left for forward – indicated by an “R” and “F” or “D” on the handle.
- You need to press on the accelerator to move forward or backward – cart doesn’t automatically move. No need to keep holding the brake to turn on the cart
Can I Consume Alcohol while Driving or Being a Passenger on a Cart?
- DO NOT DRIVE while intoxicated.
- No open alcoholic beverages in driver’s cupholder
- Passengers can have alcoholic beverages while in vehicle, but for their own safety- please refrain from doing so.
- Driving while intoxicated can lead to a fine or arrest. Traffic officers work 24/7.

How do we drive around town?
- No parking within 30 feet or less from street corners.
- Maximum allowed passengers for our 4-seater golf carts are 4 persons and 6 persons for 6 seater.
- 3 Main Roads in Town – Barrier Reef Drive (front street) which is a One Way Only street (North) and parking is available on the right side only. Pescador Drive (middle street) is also a One Way street (South) and parking is available on the right side only. Angel Coral Street (back street) is a Two Way street and parking is available on the East side only.
- Taxi Parking zones are exclusive only for taxi cabs.
- The Speed Limit is 10 miles per hour in residential areas and 15 miles per hour in non-residential areas.

If you need to get to the airstrip or to the water taxi terminal with our cart, you can just arrange a time, date, and location that you’ll be leaving the cart so that we can pick it up afterwards.

Yes. We offer multi-cart rentals to all of our customers. Just let us know how much carts you’ll be needing so that we can check availability and arrange it for you.

You can find our main office at Mark’s Supermarket on Laguna Drive, Boca Del Rio Area, San Pedro Town. We also have stands at the Airport and Water Taxi Terminal.
